Shaykh Ibn Bâz: Enmity towards this country is enmity towards the truth and Tawhîd. Which country maintains Tawhîd today? Which of our neighbouring countries such as Egypt, Shâm, Iraq and Shâm does it? Who is the one who’s calling towards Tawhîd and rules by the Sharî’ah of Allâh and demolishes graves that are worshiped besides Allâh? Who and where are they? What other country other than this does that?

Ibn Taymiyyah: And when this is from the words of az-Zuhri, it is part of the most proving evidence that indicate that the Sahabah did not read in the loud prayers with the prophet ﷺ. This is because az-Zuhri was the most knowledgeable in the Sunnah of his time. And if it had been prescribed, obligatory or recommended for the companions to read behind the prophet, then it would have been part of the general rulings of which the general companions and the followers and those who followed them in good knew. Ibn Taymiyyah: One of the opinions say that one should not read behind the Imam at all. The second opinion say that one should read behind the imam in all cases. The third opinion - and it is the opinion held by the majority of the Salaf - is that if one hears the Imam read, one should then be silent and not read, since the listening to the reading of the Imam is better than reading. al-Albani: Those who say that one has to read al-Fatihah behind the Imam when he is reading loudly only have one evidence, namely the Hadith "Do you read behind me? Do not do it except for al-Fatihah." The command here is mentioned after the prohibition.
