Question: Is the hair between the eyebrows considered to belong to the eyebrows? What is the ruling on removing it?

Shaykh Ibn Bâz: It appears seemingly not belong to the eyebrows. It is a border between them. If one however leaves it to be on the safe side, then that is well done. Otherwise, it does not belong to the eyebrows.

Ibn 'Uthaymin: It is not allowed for a layman to say when he is asked about something: 'I believe that it is forbidden.' However, a MUJTAHID may do so. (Sharh-ul-Usul, p. 19)

Ibn Taymiyyah: To be harsh when one refutes benefits the believers. The believers are like two hands that wash each other. Sometimes, one has to scrub the other hand harshly in order for the dirt from the other hand to disappear. On the other hand, it necessitates cleanliness and smoothness after the rough treatment. Nafi': Ibn 'Umar was asked about reading behind the Imam. He said: 'If one of you prays behind an Imam then his reading is enough for you.' Nafi': Ibn 'Umar did not read behind the Imam. (al-Istidhkar 1/462)

Ibn Taymiyyah: Is the reading when the Imam reads silently obligatory for the one being led, or recommended? There are two opinions in the school of thought of Ahmad. Ibn Taymiyyah: To listen to the reading of the Imam is thus better than reading, and the reading is better than being silent [I.e. if one does not hear him]. This is the opinion held by the majority of the scholars such as Malik, Ahmad bin Hanbal and the majority of their adherents as well as a group among the adherents of ash-Shafi'i and Abu Hanifah. Abun-Nasr al-Maghribi (d. 562): The best intercourse is the intercourse with the person one is attracted to. When one wants to have intercourse with the person one does what is needed to please this person without this one noticing anything. (Nuzhah-ul-Ashab, p. 78)

Ibn ‘Uthaymin: A person who only sticks to one Imam no matter what and ignores everything else has taken this imam as a messenger. (Sharh-ul-Usul, p.599)

Ibn 'Uthaymin: Marry a religious woman. She will neither abuse your right nor reveal your secret and she will take care of your property and your child in the best way. (Sharh al-Bukhari, Nikah, 2)

From 'A´ishah who said: that the Messenger of Allah - salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam - said: 'Indeed a man reaches the level of the one who prays the night prayer and fasts during the day, due to his good manners." (Silsilah Ahadith As-Sahihah No.795)

Ibn Taymiyyah: Thus, it prevents that what is meant with the verse is whether one listens to something other than al-Fatihah even though the verse is unrestricted and general, and that its reading occurs more and is more known and is better than other chapters. Thus, al-Fatihah and other than it is included in his words: "So when the Qur'an is recited", and that it includes it is clearer in the formulation and significance. adh-Dhahabî: "Imaam Ahmad didn't let Dawood adh-Dhahiri visit him because he said that the Qur'aan is created." (at-Tadhkirah 2/109)

an-Nawawi: "We (Shafi'iyyah) consider it recommended for the woman to remove her mustache and beard" (Sharh Muslim 14/89)

al-Fawzan: While Allâh swears by the time, we neglect it and deem it as the cheapest thing we have. (Lecture 125, afatwa.com)

Ibn Hibban: The most beautiful beauty is fine behaviour. The one who does not have it has no beauty. (ar-Rawdhah, p. 222)

Al-Maghribi: A woman should be beautiful without beautifying herself. One should become happy by looking at her. She should have a fine character. She should have a plumpy body and a slim stomach. She should have a thin waist, be imposingly built and have big hips and a big behind. (an-Nuzhah, p. 142)

al-Albani: A student (Talib-ul-'Ilm) is not an 'Alim. Then who is an 'Alim? As Malik said: I did not issue Fatawa until 70 scholars ordered me to do it. (SHN 901)

Al-Khattab al-Makhzumi: Dear son! There are women who are loving and fertile. They are trustworthy when the men are absent. The neighbors like them. They are praiseworthy behind closed doors and openly. They lower their voices, clean their homes, and give food to the servants. Their homes are clean and their goodness is constant. al-Ansari: The scholars say that Malik's answer on the question about the Rising constitutes a rule for all Attributes. (al-Majmu' 2/499)
