Question: What do you deem of the book “Fî Dhilâl-il-Qur’ân” and the author?

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymîn: The book “Fî Dhilâl-il-Qur’ân” is a literary interpretation. He tends towards the literary style. It also consists of modern knowledge and beneficial knowledge.

However, there are errors in it. There are a lot of errors in it. Shaykh ‘Abdullâh ad-Duwaysh (rahimahullâh) has pointed them out and written a book about them wherein he points them out. Thus, it is good for you to refer to it.

Questioner: Muhaddithun used to criticize people with large beards. Is this evidence that one is allowed to cut the beard after a grip? al-Albani: Yes. Questioner: The same goes for them considering that large beards were a sign of stupidity? al-Albani: Yes, walhamdulillah. (SHN 847, afatwa.com)
