Shaykh Ibn Bâz: These leaflets that spring from al-Faqîh, al-Mas’arî or any other from among the missionaries of falsehood and evil, have to be destroyed, torn apart and ignored. It is obligatory to advise them [al-Mas’arî etc], guide them to the truth and warn them against falsehood. It is not allowed for anyone to cooperate with them in this evilness. It is obligatory that they are advised and that they return to the truth. It is obligatory that they leave and abandon this falsehood.
My advice to al-Mas’arî, al-Faqîh, Ibn Lâdin and all others who are upon their methodology, is that they distance themselves from this evil way and instead fear Allâh for what they have done before.
OBS: as-Suhaymî said that Shaykh Ibn Bâz said these words even before Bin Lâdin showed his true face, all due to his sagacity, deep understanding and knowledge (see Fikr al-Irhâb wal-´Unf, p. 182).

Question: Are al-Mas’arî, al-Faqîh and Usâmah bin Lâdin considered to belong to those who have split from al-Jamâ’ah (the united body)? What do you deem of those who say that Shaykh Ibn Bâz never spoke against Usâmah bin Lâdin and that it is a mendacious attribution to the Shaykh?
Shaykh al-Fawzân: As for al-Faqîh, Usâmah bin Lâdin and al-Mas’arî, you should judge them in accordance with their actions and words. Do not lie about them. One should judge them in accordance with their apparent deeds.
As for the claim that the Fatwâ of the Shaykh is a lie, then this is a lie. He who said that it is a lie, is lying. It is not a lie. We have heard it from the Shaykh (rahimahullâh). His Fatwâ is written in his collection of Fatâwâ1 It has been recited unto him when he was alive. After he died, it was recited unto the scholars and they accepted it. The one who says that it is a lie is thusly a liar.
