Question: Is there any difference between Khawârij and rebels?

Shaykh al-Fawzân: Yes. The rebels do not make Takfîr upon the Muslims. They revolt because they claim to order the good and forbid the evil. They do not make Takfîr. As for the Khawârij, they make Takfîr upon the Muslims.

Gems of wisdom:

Ibn Muflih: A person said to a scholar that he goes into the prayer with Takbir to thereafter doubt his Takbir. The scholar then said: You are not obliged to pray. The one who utters Takbir and then doubts it is crazy and is not responsible for his actions. (Masa'ib-ul-Insan, p. 198, afatwa.com)

Ibn 'Uthaymin: If the only way to silence the children is by videofilms, then one lets then watch beneficial videofilms. (LBM 229, afatwa.com)

Imam Ahmad: Here we have the prophet and his companions and the followers (Tabi'un), and Malik among the residents of Hijaz, and ath-Thawri among the Iraqi residents, and al-Awza'i among the residents of Sham, and al-Layth among the egyptians - none of them have said to a man who does not read behind a reading Imam that his prayer is invalid. Ibn 'Uthaymin: It is not allowed for a layman to say when he is asked about something: 'I believe that it is forbidden.' However, a MUJTAHID may do so. (Sharh-ul-Usul, p. 19)

al-Maghribi: The woman has to make sure not to disrupt the man during the act or reject him when his desire is a fact. The sperm becomes a pain in this case and the man first calms down when it comes out. (an-Nuzhah, p. 90)

Ibn 'Uthaymin: A christian European wanted to test a Muslim scholar who sat and ate in a restaurant. He said 'You Muslims say that the Qur'an clarifies everything. How does it clarify how the food you are eating is made of?' The Muslim then called the restaurant owner and asked him and he answered. He thereafter said: So says the Qur'an, namely that we ask the knowledgeable ones if we do not know. (Ahkam-ul-Qur'an 2/214)

Ibn Muflih: It is not obligatory to read al-Fatihah if the Imam is reading loudly. This is reported from 'Ali, Ibn 'Abbas, Ibn Mas'ud, Jabir and Ibn 'Umar. The Majority has this opinion based upon the Hadith: If one has an Imam, the reading of the Imam is one's own reading. (al-Mubdi' 2/51)

al-Fawzan: If the scholar issues a Fatwa without evidence, you should ask him for the evidence. (alfawzan.ws)

al-Albani: The Muslims of today can't differentiate between things. They think that one is an 'Alim just because one talks. (SHN 852)

Ibn Taymiyyah: ...for in Sahih Muslim it is mentioned from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari that he said: "The messenger of Allah preached to us and clarified to us our Sunnah and taught us our prayer. Ibn Taymiyyah: Some of those we met used to read at the moment when there is silence after every verse. So when the Imam says "Alhamdulillahi Rabbil-'Alamin" they said "Alhamdulillahi Rabbil-'Alamin" and when he said "Iyyaka Na'bud wa Iyyaka Nasta'in" they said "Iyyaka Na'bud wa Iyyaka Nasta'in" and none of the scholars have said this. Ibn 'Uthaymîn: The fasting one is also allowed to use medicine for his eye such as drops and he does not break his fast with it. (Sahab.net)

Al-Maghribi: A woman should have plumpy arms and calves. Her face should be so clean just as if water is flowing down her face. Her skin should be smooth and thin regardless of whether she is light or dark. She should smell delightfully and be big but yet beautiful. (an-Nuzhah, p. 142)

Ibn Taymiyyah said: "It is however obligatory to condemn the one who shows his innovation unlike the person who covers it and hides it. Since it is obligatory to condemn this one, one does it for example by boycotting him until he refrains from showing his innovation. She should love her man and make him love her. She should stay away from everything that could make others suspect her. (an-Nuzhah, p. 144)

He (az-Zuhri) said: The people then stopped reading with the messenger of Allah ﷺ in those prayers where he read loudly when they heard that from the messenger of Allah ﷺ."
