Shaykh al-Fawzân: He is speaking ill of the methodology of the Salaf. He is speaking ill of Allâh’s (ta’âlâ) words:
“And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct – Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him.”
(The Qur’ân 9:100, interpretation of the meaning)
This person says that one should follow neither the Muhajireen nor the Ansar because it is a fruitless methodology.
