Question: does it belong to the methodology of the Salaf that if a caller makes a mistake and deviates from the way of the Salaf that one spreads his errors in the media and treatises?

Shaykh al-Fawzân: If he spread his opinion publicly among the people, the refuting of him then has to be spread in order to clarify the truth. If his opinion was not spread, he should then only be advised. It suffices.

Al-Maghribi: A woman should be beautiful without beautifying herself. One should become happy by looking at her. She should have a fine character. She should have a plumpy body and a slim stomach. She should have a thin waist, be imposingly built and have big hips and a big behind. (an-Nuzhah, p. 142)

The Messenger - sallâ Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam – said: 'If Allaah intends good for His slave then He hastens his punishment in this world, and if Allaah prescribes evil for His slave, then Allaah holds back his sins until He recompenses them for him on the Day of Judgment.' Ibn Makhluf: I have not seen anyone be as God-fearing as Ibn Taymiyyah. After having received the power to punish us, he forgave us instead. (al-'Uqud, p. 283, afatwa.com)

Ibn-ul-Qayyim: When we were afraid and anxious, we used to go to Ibn Taymiyyah. As soon as we saw him and heard him, all negative feelings disappeared. Ibn Taymiyyah: Moreover, what is intended by reading loudly is that those being led should listen. That is why they say "Amin" by the reading of the Imam in the loud prayer unlike the silent one.
