Question: What is the ruling regarding the tight clothes of the woman in front of relatives and likewise in front of women on festivities?

Shaykh al-Fawzân: It is not allowed for the woman to wear tight clothes in front of women, Mahârim or strange men. She should wear wide clothes that do not show anything of her figure. This is how she should be if she is afraid of the Fire. However, if she is not afraid of the Fire, then she can do as she wishes. The Fire is nevertheless in front of her.

Each one that has risen above something is above it, but each one that is above something DOES NOT HAVE TO HAVE RISEN ABOVE IT. (SHN, p. 148)

adh-Dhahabi: Ibn Taymiyyah gave Fatawa and educated when he was 20. He had more than 200 teachers. His Arabic was very strong. He was a wonder in history. None had such a knowledge about religions and sects. His courage and struggle cannot be described. (al-'Uqud, p. 23)
