al-Khattab al-Makhzumi: Dear son! Stay away from the woman who eats like a donkey. She doesn’t clean the home, the food is left out overnight, the dishes are greasy and the dough is sour. (ar-Rawdhah, p. 202)

Shaykh 'Ali al-Faqîhî: I have spoken about this matter before and said that a lot of scholars who have served Islâm (and fallen into some error) - such as Ibn Hajar and others - ARE NOT CALLED AS AHL-UL-BID'AH, because Ahl-ul-Bid'ah are those who invent Bid'ah and invite to it and love and hate in its name. Ibn Taymiyyah: If it were not to be so, that he reaches something better through listening than reading, it would have been more fitting that he does the best of the two - to read. But when the Book (Qur'an), the Sunnah and the consensus prove that it is better to listen than to read, one knows that he who listens reaches something better than what he who reads reaches. This significance is in al-Fatihah and other than it. Thus, the one who listens to the reading of the Imam reaches something better than what is reached by reading - and thus one is not allowed to be commanded with something lower and be forbidden from something higher. al-Albani: That a white man makes fun of a black man due to his skin colour or vice versa, means to make fun of Allah who has created them. (SHN 24)

Ibn Taymiyyah: Moreover - if all Sahabah read al-Fatihah behind him in the first silent period or in the second then this would have been reported manifoldly. So how can it be so when none of the Sahabah have reported that they used to read al-Fatihah behind him in the second silent period. Had it been prescribed then the Sahabah would have been those with the most right of all humans to know of it and act in accordance with it. Thus we know that IT IS A BID'AH.
